Quality Commitment
Training
Symetrics retains two full time IPC instructors in skilled in IPC 610-A and J-STD-001 requirements. Although classroom instruction is always a good base, the instructors also work on the production line and in the Engineering Development labs to mentor job skills at the point of use. The result has been high quality and production turn rates.
- Training course content is audience centered and adjusted by the instructor with minimum effort when required. This allows for more interaction with questions, answers and demonstrations and allows the operators to completely understand the methods and reasons behind IPC Standards.
- A library of IPC videos is also used as a supplement and reinforcement to the training.
- Each class instruction package is documented using multimedia methods to insure each class receives identical training to establish a standard when performing tasks or doing job skills.
- IPC 610-A and J-STD attendees are required to pass written and qualitative performance testing to acquire certification in these job skills.
Formalized Courses:
- IPC-A-610 Worker Proficiency Certification Courses
- IPC J-STD-001 Worker Proficiency Certification Courses
- ESD Training and Awareness Courses
Job Skill Certification:
- Documented On The Job Training (OJT) is conducted with assigned mentors until the trainee is ready to be certified.
- The first time an individual applies for a specific job skill, the individual is required to take and pass a written review. Each written review is based upon the specific Operational Instruction and/or Procedure for the particular job skill. However, passing this written review alone does not bestow certification.
- Certification audits are performed on line with an individual performing the job skill. An audit of the certified job skill is conducted:
- Just after a written review is taken and passed or
- Each year about the anniversary of the job skill certification having been bestowed.
