The FLIR Common Module Program has been in continuous production since April 1991. The family of modules include two different 30 Hz Scan-Interlace and one 60 Hz Scan-Interlace modules. Additionally, there is a 3 volt Bias Regulator, a 5 Volt Bias Regulator, an Auxiliary Control, a Pre-amplifier, and a Post-amplifier.
The FLIR Common Modules are integrated into the FLIR systems for the M-1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, the M-2/M-3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, the OH-58 Kiowa Helicopter, and the AH-64 Apache Helicopter. Customers for these modules have included the US Army CECOM, Hughes, Raytheon, and Aeroflex International.
